Advanced Building Care

Floor care

Commercial floor stripping, waxing, and polishing in Salt Lake City.

Strip and wax, burnish, polish, seal — a standalone service for offices, schools, and dealerships that need hard-surface work done right.

What's available

Scope you can hand to a board, not a brochure.

Vendor contracts get vague in places they shouldn't. Here's what we actually do, in plain language.

  • Strip and wax

Full chemical strip down to substrate, neutralize, apply 3-5 coats of commercial finish. Standard for VCT and vinyl.

  • Burnish and polish

High-speed burnishing to restore shine between full strips. Quarterly or semi-annual rotation keeps finish life maximized.

  • Sealing

Concrete sealing, hard-surface penetrating sealers, and tile-and-grout sealing for new installs or refresh.

  • Gym floor recoats

Summer-window gym floor screen-and-recoat for K-12 and recreation buildings. Booked early for July-August windows.

How it works

From first walkthrough to signed contract in days, not weeks.

  1. Step 1

    Floor inventory + plan

We square-foot every floor type, identify what needs strip vs. burnish, and build a 12-month rotation plan if appropriate.

  2. Step 2

    Schedule the window

Floor work needs the building closed. We schedule evenings, weekends, or summer windows for schools.

  3. Step 3

    Multi-coat finish + dry

3-5 coats of finish typical, with proper dry time between coats. Floors are back in service the next operating day.

Pricing

Priced by floor type, square footage, and condition.

Floor-care pricing depends on the service. Strip-and-wax is driven by the hard-floor square footage, the number of finish coats applied, and the current condition of the floor — moving furniture, tight or hard-to-reach areas, and after-hours timing add to the work. Burnish-and-polish is a maintenance service that keeps existing finish looking sharp, priced by the hard-floor square footage, the type of finish already down, how often you want it maintained, and the traffic the floor sees. Gym floor recoat depends on the court square footage, the number of coats, and whether the floor needs screening or sanding first, plus repainting game lines and working around your facility's available downtime. We assess the floor before scoping any of it.

  • Free walkthrough on any floor over 5,000 sqft
  • Summer windows for K-12 fill by April — book early
  • Discount when bundled into a janitorial contract
