Advanced Building Care

Day porter services

Day porter services that hold the building through business hours.

Nightly janitorial resets a building after everyone goes home. A day porter keeps it presentable while they're still in it — restrooms restocked at 2pm, the spill in the lobby handled in minutes, the conference room turned over between meetings. On-site daytime staff across the Wasatch Front, on their own schedule or folded into an existing janitorial contract.

What's available

Scope you can hand to a board, not a brochure.

Vendor contracts get vague in places they shouldn't. Here's what we actually do, in plain language.

  • Restroom rounds

Checked and restocked on a set cadence through the day rather than once overnight — paper, soap, sanitary disposal, fixture wipe-down, floor spot-mop. The single most common reason a building hires a porter.

  • Lobby, entry, and glass

Entry doors, interior glass, mats, and the first thirty feet every visitor sees. Held through the day instead of degrading from open until close.

  • Spill and incident response

Someone on site who can handle a coffee spill, a tracked-in slush trail, or a restroom problem when it happens, instead of it sitting until the night crew arrives.

  • Breakroom and common-area resets

Counters, microwaves, sink, and tables reset after the lunch rush so the afternoon shift doesn't inherit the morning's mess.

  • Meeting and event turnovers

Conference rooms reset between bookings, trash pulled, chairs squared, glass wiped. Useful in multi-tenant buildings and anywhere the calendar is tight.

  • Trash, recycling, and exterior policing

Common-area bins pulled before they overflow, and a walk of the entry, sidewalk, and smoking area so the outside matches the inside.

How it works

From first walkthrough to signed contract in days, not weeks.

  1. Step 1

    Traffic walkthrough

We walk the building during your busiest window, not an empty morning. The point is to see when restrooms actually turn over and where the building degrades fastest.

  2. Step 2

    Written coverage plan

Hours on site, the round cadence, what's checked each pass, and who the named porter is. You approve it before anyone starts, and it's what we're held to afterward.

  3. Step 3

    Start and supervise

The porter is introduced to your staff on day one and backed by a named primary contact who isn't the porter — so escalation doesn't depend on the person you're escalating about.

Pricing

Priced by coverage, not by square foot.

Day porter work is priced on how many hours someone is on site and when. A four-hour midday shift and a full open-to-close presence are different services. Split shifts covering a morning open and an afternoon peak cost more to staff than one continuous block. Whether the porter is dedicated to your building or shared across nearby accounts moves it, as does badge, background, or escort requirements on secure sites.

  • Free walkthrough during your actual peak hours
  • Part-day, full-day, or split-shift coverage
  • Discounted when bundled with a nightly janitorial contract
